Nothing has become popular now due to its sleek and elegant Nothing Phone 2. However, OnePlus co-creator Carl Pei also has his mind set on the mid-range smartphone segment. Therefore, we might soon see the rumored Nothing Phone 2A.
Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel smartphones have the most significant market share in the Android smartphone market in the West. While they do have flagship models, their mid-range versions enjoy the most sales – namely the Google Pixel 7A.
Therefore, to tap into this market segment, Nothing might soon launch a downgraded Nothing Phone 2A for a lower price.

A new Nothing Phone (Not the Phone 3) is in work 🔥
✅Model Number :- AIN142
✅Name :- Nothing Phone 2a
Some known information i got :-
✅6.7 inch AMOLED screen
✅Centre alligned punch Hole display
✅Back panel of the device looks like the photo given#Nothing… pic.twitter.com/peJTz6CtIt
This information comes from smartphone tipster Sanju Choudhury, as seen in the Tweet above. According to the leaks, the Nothing Phone 2A will have a 6.7” AMOLED display. In addition, it will also sport a center-aligned punch-hole camera similar to the OnePlus 11R.
However, unlike the flagship Nothing Phone 2, it will have a less cluttered glyph panel on the back. While the Glyph panel is the main USP of Nothing, it’s odd to see them dialing down on this feature.
Apart from these, there’s not much we know about the Nothing Phone 2A. However, its release might coincide with the upcoming launch of the Google Pixel 8A, which might be around May 2024.
Therefore, judging by these leaks, smartphone makers seem to focus more on the mid-range market. Even Apple has done the same with the release of the iPhone SE 2023 model.
How well will the Nothing Phone 2A stack up against other mid-range competitors like the Google Pixel 7A and the amazing OnePlus 11R? Let us know in the comments below!
