Google Updates The Android Logo As Android 14 Draws Near

Headlines:

  • Google has launched many updates for Android OS, with its logo being the latest addition.
  • Regarding the new Google update, the Android logo and its typeface are different now.
  • Android 14 is expected to hit higher-end devices by the end of September or early October 2023.

Android 14 is just around the corner as we draw closer to the annual Google event. This event, which announces the new Google products (primarily the new Google Pixel 8), is highly anticipated by many worldwide. Therefore, to make things interesting, Google has finally changed the design of the Android logo.

Recently, from the start of September, Google has been updating almost all its apps. Some of its apps have received minor upgrades, while others have received significant design overhauls. The Android logo falls on the latter.

First, let’s start with its font. Since the start of Android, it has stuck with the same font, with all the letters being in lowercase. However, this year, it has changed – well, only the first letter, technically. Instead of all lowercase, the “A” on Android has been made uppercase. Therefore, it’s time to bid adieu to Android. Welcome, Android!

However, the biggest difference came with the new Android logo. Instead of the green “thing” that we saw for years, it will constantly change its shape and style. This change in shape and color depends on the occasion, and all possibilities haven’t been showcased yet. In addition, instead of being a 2D model, it’s now a 3D model with changing shapes and colors. Sweet!

We will get to see more of this new change once Android 14 finally rolls out in late September or early October.
